OBJECTIVE

The goal of the symposium is to gather and enlarge the present studies concerning convective heat transfer with time-dependent boundary conditions (thermal and dynamical): fundamentals, experimental and numerical methods and industrial applications.

    This lecture will be followed by a short workshop to discuss the interest of the methods presented and to examine possible applications in transient convective heat transfer.
A Book of Abstracts of all lectures and papers will be distributed to the participants at the registration.

All presentations at the symposium will be published in a Proceedings volume by Begell House, Inc., New York, USA, shortly after the Symposium, and sent to all participants free of charge.

April 15, 1996Notification on Paper Acceptance.
May 30, 1996Send 100 US Dollar deposit for room reservation in the Hotel to ICHMT Secretariat by either bank transfer to the account number given below (together with a copy of the deposit slip), or by credit card (fill out the attached form) or by bank check payable to Faruk Arinç, Secretary General, ICHMT. No personal checks or Euro-checks are acceptable. The deposit is non-refundable. It will be transfered to the hotel and subtracted from your hotel charge. No room reservation will be made unless this deposit is received by the Secretariat.

May 30, 1996Send 350 US Dollar Conference Fee ($ 300 for authors, $ 150 for students) to ICHMT Secretariat in similar manner with the above deposit. This includes the costs of Book of Abstracts, the Proceedings, tea and coffee breaks during the meeting, etc., but does not include NOMAD Travel Agency charges for sight-seeing tours and trips. There will be a late charge of 50 US Dollars after this date. The cancellation charge is the same as the late charge.
May 30, 1996Send hotel reservation request slip and travel schedule to ICHMT Secretariat. August is a high touristic season; so, the hotel reservations must be made well in advance. Otherwise, the Secretariat cannot guarantee the reservation.
August 19, 1996Bring final copy of the paper and copyright form to the Symposium.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

The Tourism Agency, NOMAD, may meet all participants arriving at Izmir Airport (Adnan Menderes Airport). You must first inform ICHMT Secretariat about your flight schedule, complete with date and time of arrival and the carrier, by sending the attached travel schedule form. NOMAD will provide transportation from the Airport to the hotel, and from the Hotel back to the Airport when you are departing, at your expense and on your request. NOMAD will charge 40 US Dollars per person for two-way transfer. The ride from the Airport to Çesme takes about one hour or more depending on the traffic.

A representative of NOMAD will be present in the Hotel during the meeting and will arrange other shopping trips for the spouses and sight-seeing tours.
