The
purpose of the institute is to provide a forum for the dissemination of advanced
scientific knowledge on Mini-Micro Fuel Cells as Electric Energy Generators.
This advanced study institute will primarily be a high level teaching activity,
where the subject of mini-micro fuel cells fundamentals and applications will
be treated in considerable depth by lecturers eminent in their fields. Lecturers
will cover the Fundamentals and Applications of the subject matters. Limited
number of short presentations from young scientists will also be accepted
as supplementary to lectures but will not be published. The only lecture manuscripts
will be published as NATO Science series by Springer. The extended
abstracts of the lectures will be available in a printed Book of Extended
Abstracts to the participants at the registration desk.
The
institute will provide in-depth information to researchers regarding up-to-date
results and areas of future research. Attendance to the meeting will be a limited.
Limited number of financial grants to scientists from NATO, Partner and Mediterranean
Dialogue countries are available. Applications with background information and
a letter of recommendation from the head of the department must be submitted no
later than April 15, 2007. Successful applicants
will be notified by May 15, 2007.
The
cost of half-board accommodations, from Sunday evening July
22, 2007 through checkouts Friday mid afternoon August
3, 2007 is US$ 600 for single occupancy and US$480 for double occupancy
per person.
