The Heat Transfer Society of Japan solicits nomination for the Nukiyama Memorial Award 2026. The deadline for nominations is September 30, 2025. The Award will be bestowed at the 18th International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC) during August 2-7, 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the recipient of the Award will present an Award Lecture. The recipient is required to prepare a review paper based on the content of the Award Lecture, which will be published in the Journal of Thermal Science and Technology. Nominators can obtain further information and download the nomination form from a webpage. |

The winner of the 2023 Hewitt-Goldstein Young Investigator Award is Prof. Ming-Jia Li of Beijing Institute of Technology. The description of this newly established prestigous ICHMT award can be found here . Prof. Li will receive her award with a ceremony during CHT24 in Istanbul. |

Professor Maurizio Cumo, past president of ICHMT, passed away on January 1, 2024. He also served as the chair and the vice-chair of the Executive Committee. He was the recipient of ICHMT’s Luikov Medal and ICHMT Fellowship Award. We extend our condolences to his family and friends. |

We sadly learned that ICHMT’s past president Professor Richard J. Goldstein passed away yesterday afternoon (on March 6, 2023). He was an active member of the ICHMT Executive Committee, and the recipient of 1990 Luikov Medal and 2004 ICHMT Fellowship Award. We will miss him dearly. We extend our condolences to his family and friends. Professor Goldstein's obituary can be accessed here. |
